What is happening is that the very thin silver plating has worn off to the layer of copper plating underneath. Cheap jewellery is cheap because they don’t use enough materials to make it last! If they are special to you I would take them to a jeweller or plating shop where they will silver plate them with a decent amount of silver that will not wear off so quickly and will last you for years.
